Hi there all you P7 pupils coming up to Cathkin High School in August. We hope you are looking forward to joining us. Not long to go now, you must be very excited about your big move!
We know you might have some questions and concerns about the move and we are here to help. Some of the Cathkin students are in your school today helping you to learn all about Weblogs and Podcasting. This site was set up to help you learn all about your move to high school and today you will learn how to post comments and questions about any concerns you might have about starting secondary school...
Will you get lost ?
How many teachers will you have ?
What subjects will you take ?
Will the big kids be nasty to me ?
Are there any clubs I can join ?
Read some of the comments from other P7 pupils at West Coats and James Aiton Schools. Have a look at the comments from Cathkin first years about their experiences of coming to high school last year.
So get blogging and we will try to answer your comments as soon as possible. And if you are interested, join the Blog and Podcast group when you come up to Cathkin.

Ok Ryan....here is your answer. There are three subjects which make up the science dept. at Cathkin High. Physics is run by Mr Paton. Biology is run by Mrs Sherry, and Chemistry is looked after at the moment by Mr Brock and Miss McMillan.

HI there...
Lots of questions to answer here. I think I want to touch on the issue of bullying. This is just not going to happen when you come up to Cathkin. There are lots of things you can do to help. Talk to your teachers and the guidance staff. There will be sixth years who act as 'buddies' for the lower school pupils as well.
You will not be bullied or put into bins or anything else like that so don't worry.
Hello Chloe and Wee Jenny, please dont worry about getting battered or having your head flushed down the toilet. It's just NOT TRUE. So please dont listen to these silly rumours.
